Our free updates contain the latest tax-year revisions and forms for TurboTax 2008 software for Windows and Mac.

Note: If you use TurboTax Online 2008, we update TurboTax for you. Revisit TurboTax Online to see the final forms and program updates.

Use one of these methods to update your TurboTax 2008 software:

TurboTax can automatically check for updates when you start your TurboTax program (if you have an Internet connection and have set your update preferences to automatically check for updates). If updates are available, you can get them right away or wait until later.
You can ask TurboTax to check for updates. If updates are available, you can get them right away or wait until later.
- In TurboTax for Windows, select Check for Updates from the Online menu.
- In TurboTax for Mac, select Check for Updates from the TurboTax menu.

If updating fails when you start TurboTax or when you select Check for Updates, you can manually download and install federal updates. Select the appropriate link below. (To manually apply state updates, see How to Update Your State.)
